BACK TO SCHOOL DRUGSTORE MAKEUP LOOK

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! So seeing as August is coming to an end very shortly and we will all be saying goodbye to the summer for another year, that means one thing for quite a few people...it's time to go back to school. If you like to wear makeup or you want to start to wear makeup and your school/college/uni allows you to do so, then i have a perfect quick and easy drugstore look that you can create in under 20 minutes...

This is the look, it is so easy to create, super natural looking and all the products i used are available at either boots or superdrug. When i did this makeup look i actually timed myself with my phone and it took just under 20 minutes (that includes having a mini sing along to my spotify in-between).

1. BASE PRODUCTS.

So first things first as you are going to be more than likely applying your makeup super early in the morning and wanting it to last all day long, if so you are going to want to prime your face. I just went in with my favourite primer at the moment which is the Freedom Studio Priming Water, i love this because it makes your makeup sit all day long, it's quick/easy to apply as you just spray it on. Next up i moved onto foundation, the one i went for is a new favourite of mine which is the Bourjois City Radiance Foundation in the shade Light Beige. This foundation is great for giving you a naturally/healthy glow, a lightweight finish and is perfect for those great skin days. One thing i must say is if you have really oily skin, definitely opt for more of a matte finish product as you are going to want it to last all day and not worry about having to touch up. Next up i went straight in with concealer, which was my trusty Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Rewind Concealer in the shade Light. This concealer is amazing for those quick makeup days, as the applicator already does some of the blending out for you as you apply and it has amazing coverage/lasting power. To set all of these products in place i just went in with the Makeup Revolution Pressed Translucent Powder, which is super similar to the Rimmel Stay Matte and is only around the £2 mark.

2. EYES, BROWS, CHEEKS & LIPS.

Once all the base makeup is in place i went ahead and did my brows, i used the Freedom Pro Brow Pomade in the shade Dark Brown before setting them in place with the L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in the shade Medium/Dark. To finish my brows off i just sharpened/neatened them up using a small amount of concealer on a brush, you can skip this step to save time but i have really been loving doing this recently. Moving on to eyes, just keeping things super simple by applying the same bronze/contour product we will be using on the face soon into the crease and blending it onto the lids also. I always have to wear some sort of eyeliner so i tight-lined the top and bottom waterline using the L'Oreal Color Riche Le Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Midnight Black, before going in with the L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara. Moving back to the face makeup, i used the same Maybelline Master Sculpt (contour shade) to contour/bronze up my skin adding some dimension back into the face. For Blush i went in with one of my favourite drugstore blushes of all time the Sleek Powder Blush in the shade Rose Gold and then for highlight i went in with Freedom Pro Highlight in the shade Diffused, to add a subtle glow as we always have time for highlight ha! Finally i just kept the lips super simple like the rest of the look, by using the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Satin Ribbon. Using a liquid lipstick over a gloss is more convenient as they last so much longer on the lips, so you haven't got to worry about re-applying often.
